1st task: A first semester to remember

After the shaken end of summer we had, classes were delayed to the end of March.

I couldn't go working as a volunteer to help to rebuild houses because my mother was really worried for the aftershocks... I was too.

Unfortunately, the building of our Institute colapsed because it was too old and fragile, so after some weeks it was decided we (the carrer) were moving to Republica street.

Anyway, college started and I finally met the rest of my classmates (I've already had met a phew, through Facebook and also on the day we took the English exam). It turn out to be a really easy going group.

It has been a good experience knowing new people, but becomes being difficult having time to see your old friends, or even your own family during the week. The schedules are not always coordinated.

The best experience I had this semester, was working on the assignment of Introduction to the goverment and public administration. We had to choose a small town, in our case, Valdivia de Paine (in the municipality of Buin), and had to do a general land registry and help them making connections with people with knowlegde and experience, so they could start resolving issues, that not always were related with the consecuences of the earthquake. We could have a glance on how the public sistem works, treat common people and people with the means to achieve our aim.

It wasn't a perfect semester, but they never are... if I could live it again I definetly would.
